SCHOOL TRIPS HAVE CHANGED!
It’s a very exciting time at the Farm Park and we’ve been making some great changes to our facilities. As part of these improvements we have also been working very hard on our educational trips, we now offer two options:
1 A guided visit
£8.50 per child. One free adult per 5 children.
- A set timetable of structured activities
- Bag storage
- Reserved lunch seating
- Animal snacks
- Teacher resources (including pre and post-visit classroom activities, in development and ready for download 16th February 2019).
Teachers can choose one of the following session topics:
|In this interactive, hands-on session, you will be introduced to a variety of animals on the farm! With different focuses according to your Key Stage Level, you will learn all about the animals’ features and how various breeds differ, their habitats, life cycles, how we care for them, their uses and why they might be rare.||In this session, through interactive, hands on activities, you will consider where certain items of food come. With different focuses according to your Key Stage Level, you will also learn about food production and will get involved with turning some of our wheat into flour! By thinking about what it’s like to be a farmer, we consider subjects like seasonality, sustainability and how (and why) farmers are looking after the environment.|
Each child will also receive a voucher for a free return visit when accompanied by a paying adult.
2 A self-led visit – excellent value!
