The Three Counties Henson Pig Trail

Marketing Gloucester have been working with the Royal Three Counties Show team to develop the trail. This year's focus is to encourage a deeper understanding of Gloucestershire's rural heritage, promote cultural tourism in the county and raise money for local charities. Keeping the ‘Little Dudes’ happy at The Big Feastival

Adam took with him some of the team from the Cotswold Farm Park, who worked with the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) and JCB to bring a total countryside experience to the younger festival-goers. We’re all passionate about food, farming and fun so we were delighted to be involved. It was all going on in the ‘Little Dudes Den’ – rabbit and chick-handling, driving practice on JCB pedal tractors and a chance to have a go at milking Daisy, the wooden cow. Visitors were also on the lookout for Eric, Morag and Magee (cuddly Highland cow toys) for the chance to win an annual family pass to Cotswold Farm Park and a JCB toy. Whilst...

Conservation Area opened by Ellie Harrison

Our conservation area explains about the importance of biodiversity and the hard work that farmers are undertaking to conserve and promote wildlife in our countryside. It shows you the history of the Farm Park and surrounding area and takes you on a journey through the various ways that farming enhances the local environment and wildlife. We’ve planted a broad range of plants that are beneficial to insects and birds, an area of pollen and nectar rich plants, wild grasses, beetle banks and a pond. You’ll be able to see a bee hive and learn about pollination; view a wormery in the soil zone, and learn about the importance of...
