We are always pleased to receive feedback from our visitors about their trip to the Cotswold Farm Park, and here we are delighted to be able to share these comments with you.

Dear Adam Henson and all at the Cotswold Farm Park.  I visited the Farm Park yesterday, 4th July, for the first time in 20 years and it brought back lots of memories.  It was still a lovely day out and I really enjoyed seeing all the rare breeds that were at the park.  I especially enjoyed being able to hold a new born duckling!  I’m not young anymore, but visiting the park allows you to be.  I wish Adam, and all of his team the very best.  With kind regards and a thousand thank you’s.

We would just like to say “thank you” to all the staff and Adam Henson after our visit to the farm on Friday 10th June.  We found it by chance having seen a brochure in the motorway service station and decided to call.  We had a delightful day; the animals are so available and look so cared for.  Even though we are two “seniors” and did not bring any children, we did not feel out of place.  Watching the sheep being sheared was an experience.  Once again let me say thanks to all.

Hello all at the Farm Park.  Just a quick note to say a big thank you to everyone that helped Finlay have such a great time on his birthday on the farm on Sunday (5th June).  Finlay enjoyed it enormously, it was brilliantly organised with each detail taken care of, even down to cups of tea and coffee for the adults at the end.  A great day was had by all, many thanks.

Hello Campsite Managers.  We stayed on pitch 1 for three nights last week and I want to say how much we were impressed with the site, the staff and facilities, not to mention the wonderful experience of the animals on the farm and the demonstrations.  The facilities on the site were of a very high standard and the farm restaurant made our stay such a pleasurable experience, despite the wind which developed over the weekend.  If it wasn’t for the 250+ miles away from home, we would be down there more often.  Thanks again for making us, and many other campers, so welcome and comfortable.

I came to stay at your campsite on Friday with my sister, brother in law and two nieces, who are 3 and 4.  Our stay was amazing and I must congratulate you on the layout of the farm park as I saw my nieces handle and approach animals for the first time ever, rather than cowering away from them as they have always done in the past (even our dog, who has been around since their birth, has to be kicked out of the house when they come to visit!).

What a delightful spot you have there.  My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our day at your farm – all those lovely rare animals to see and feed, it was heavenly!  We initially introduced ourselves to the Soays and their lambs – and fell in love with the huge ginger cockerel.   We loved the Touch Barn and quite frankly could have stopped there all day.  We never knew how cute baby kids could be and loved bottle feeding the lambs and kids and holding the baby chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits.  We particularly loved the Golden Guernsey Goats, Kerry Sheep, Highland Cattle and Tamworth Pigs, who were all really sweet.  My sister and I wanted to do something completely different to celebrate our 40th birthday and we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more being animal lovers – thank you for a wonderful day.

Hello all at Cotswold Farm Park.  Today we brought our mother’s for Mothering Sunday (we came on the Saturday though).  We had a wonderful day and wanted to return the following day.  Your staff members are wonderful, polite, and friendly, willing to answer any question you may have, however silly the question may appear to them.  All very well presented too.  The whole park is very clean and  VERY welcoming.  A great experince for all children however big or small!!!!   The whole day was enjoyed by all and I will be recommending the Park to all friends and family.  THANK YOU, please keep up your hard work.

Dear Adam and everyone at the Farm Park,  I just had to write to tell you what a wonderful day my husband and I had last week. We are both 64 years old, but there were so many'firsts' for us - cuddling and bottle-feeding the little lambs and kids, seeing lambs born - we couldn't drag ourselves away! The rare breeds section is exquisite, and your young staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience was a real education and the best day out we've had for a long time. I am now reading and enjoying Adam's book - what a visionary Joe Henson is! He was certainly ahead of his time in foreseeing the great benefits of opening up farms to the public. As lifelong 'urbanites' but with a great passion for the countryside we so much welcome the opportunity to get an insight into how farming works.  Thanks for a marvellous day - we hope to visit again very soon.

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how wonderful I thought the Farm Park was when I visited on Saturday 19th March, your opening day for 2011.  It was absolutely brilliant – so well organised and maintained, with the animals looking very well cared for.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and will most definitely be returning again.

We visited your farm park at the week end and thank you so much for such a lovely day. The staff are so polite and helpful - refreshingly so. Nothing was too much trouble and it is so well organised and just flows it was a delight to visit. My personal favourite was bottle feeding the lambs and goats - it was good to have hands on experience. There was such a peaceful atmosphere every where and it was like a piece of paradise. I am aware of all the hard work that goes into running the farm park and I just want to thank you all again for such a wonderful day out. My sons thoroughly enjoyed the day and talked about nothing else all the way home to Avening.

Just wanted to say Thank You for giving Barney & Elsa such a fantastic 5th birthday party yesterday! All the kids had a brilliant time and shrieked or sang with excitement all the way round the park - your staff were amazingly caring and attentive and took the time to ensure that no child missed out on cuddling a bunny or chick. We're always impressed by your team when we visit, but the party was the best yet, and worth every penny.

My wife and I (both in our 60's) visited you today and I had to write to say what a most enjoyable time we had at the Park. We did not have children with us but there was plenty of action to keep us fully occupied during our visit. We started off by having a bite to eat in the café which was very good and reasonably priced. We also think the entry fees are very reasonable. We "did" the longer of the two walks which was very enjoyable and then entered the Park proper to look at the animals - we were very pleased to find that it was a very "hands on" experience with many opportunities to handle and feed the animals. My wife was pleased to be able to feed the lambs (something she has always wanted to do) and there were so many bottles available that she did not feel that she was denying a child an opportunity to partake. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful and they were all so cheerful that I am sure they really enjoy working at the Park.

We agree that it is so important to protect our rare breeds and to see that you continue to carry on the good work started so long ago by Mr Henson senior. He must take great pride in seeing what has become of his early vision and especially the way in which people can see and learn about these rare animals. We never know what the future holds and when we might need some good old breeding stock. Keep up the good work Adam! We look forward to our next visit.

Just had to let you know what a fantastic visit we had today! My boys aged 3 and 5 completely fell in love with the farm and the animals, as did my husband who is now seriously considering re-homing a couple of rescue chickens! Fantastic value for money and no hard sell - just perfect. Many thanks again for a wonderful family day out.

My partner and I came to the farm on Sunday 28th March. I became a child again and loved seeing and feeding all the animals. We were thrilled to see 3 lambs being born in the barn. What an amazing experience. I didn’t want to leave. We even got to see Adam himself – which I was thrilled about. We had a fantastic day and would recommend anyone of any age coming along and spending a day on the farm. Thank you.

Four adults thoroughly enjoyed being children again for a few hours at the farm yesterday, the first day of the season. We had an absolutely fantastic time, cuddling the baby goats and lambs and Humble, the lamb that featured in Lambing Live, was there too! We loved being able to feed all the adult sheep and goats around the farm. All the animals looked so happy and content with their lot.
