Following the success of the inaugural North Cotswold Food & Farming Festival last October, North Cotswold Food Producers have now put together a programme of Food festivities for 2012 that will be held at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park.  The first Food and Farming Festival will take place on Sunday 13th May, with two others planned for September 30th and December 2nd.  Several local food producers will have stalls selling food from beef, cheese and relishes to handmade chocolate, bread and puddings.

Planned to tie in with the Cotswold Farm Park’s Fun Rides, there are plenty of activities for all the family.  For the May event there will be a Children’s Corner with face painting, tractor displays and the Wildlife Walk.  Parents will be able to watch cooking demonstrations from Rob Rees and his willing assistant (just for the day), Adam Henson.  All proceeds from the Raffle will go to The Wiggly Worm, a charity that exists to improve health and well-being amongst the vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Adam Henson, Director of the Cotswold Farm Park said: “The Cotswold Farm Park has passion in British Farming at its core.  The North Cotswold Food and Farming Festival is a great way to promote both farming and local food producers – many of whom are either diversified farmers or source their ingredients locally.  This event gives people from both near and far the opportunity to learn a bit more about the countryside and sample some of the great delights on offer.”

Stall-holders include Love My Cow, Sophie’s Baked Delights, Bensons Totally Fruity with Adam Henson’s Sausages, The Cotswold Chocolate Company, Old Farm Dorn, Lower Ledge Bakery, Relish the Taste, The Cotswold Pudding Company, Crudges Cheese and The Cotswold Curer.  Hot, cold and packaged food will be available to buy at the event.

Kerry Walker of Food Magazine said; “The first ever North Cotswolds Food and Farming Festival in October 2011 was a roaring success. Some of the regions best food and drink producers came together for the day to celebrate what is truly great about food in this region - and visitors arrived from all over the county. The small intimate setting, quality stalls and fantastic cookery demonstrations from both Rob Rees and Adam Henson makes this particular event a must in the food festival calendar. Food magazine is happy and proud to be again attending and supporting the second 2012 North Cotswolds Food and Farming festival.”

The Festival will open at 10.30am and entrance is free. For further information, please visit www.cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk or email anna@lovemycow.com.
